Mare Petras

Mare Petras, a veteran of the fitness industry for almost 30 years, is the president of Fitness Simply, a fitness and wellness company in Sarasota, Florida.

Petras launched Fitness Simply in 2003 after moving to Sarasota from Washington, D.C. where she worked as one of the country's premier personal trainers. Her company serves as a wellness resource for corporations and organizations looking to reduce stress and increase productivity. Her "one size does not fit all" philosophy was created to meet the unique needs of clients.

While working in Washington, D.C. , Petras enjoyed a prestigious client list of social and political elite. In 1991 and 1992, she worked with the President's Council on Fitness and Sports and helped organize the "Great American Workout" on the White House Lawn. From 1986 to 1993, she co-owned Body Business Inc., a corporate fitness and personal training company that employed more than 20 personal trainers . . .
