Top Basketball Keynote Speakers

Charles Barkley, NBA Hall of Famer, Ranked in the 50 Greatest Players in the NBA, Emmy Award Winner

20213011183126Headshot2-71-.png (13 KB)Charles Barkley started as one of the all-time greatest players in the National Basketball Association and transformed into a pop culture icon with his knack for entertainment and his Emmy Award-winning television run. His long and decorated career in basketball started with his college days playing for Auburn University and led him to the NBA’s 76ers and finally to the 1992 Olympics as a member of the original Dream Team. Currently, Barkley is an NBA analyst for TNT’s Emmy award-winning studio show Inside the NBA.

His keynote speaking divulges the ins and outs of what makes an NBA team successful and focuses on bringing sports leadership to your companies.

Earvin Magic Johnson, NBA Legend, Founder and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, and Founder of Magic Johnson Foundation

2019095181336Headshot-square.jpg (440 KB)Earvin Johnson, known as Magic Johnson for his impossible abilities on the basketball court, is quite possibly the most well-known name in basketball history, spanning across generations. Known for his legacy on the Los Angeles Lakers NBA team and his spot on the original 1992 Olympic Dream Team, Johnson is an all-time NBA great who has now moved into the business behind his favorite sports. He is the former President of Basketball Operations for the LA Lakers and part owner of the LA Dodgers and LA Sparks. He also serves as the Chairman and CEO for the Magic Johnson Enterprise, while maintaining his philanthropic work for his foundation dedicated to HIV/AIDS advocacy, awareness, and prevention.

Magic Johnson’s keynote speaking ranges from motivational lessons to intimate stories from his unique life to philanthropic advocacy work.

Bill Walton, Basketball Legend, Broadcaster, Humanitarian, and Resiliency Expert

2020215125441Bill-Walton-2020-Photo-cropped.jpg (101 KB)Bill Walton’s long career in basketball and sports broadcasting taught him lessons not only in team building, leadership, and focus but also in resiliency. During his basketball career, he missed a total of nine and a half full seasons because of extensive injuries that forced him to adapt, overcome, and build a mindset of resiliency.

His keynote speaking brings audiences the lessons he learned in resilience and leadership throughout his career, as well as the importance of team building. He can guide any organization to work together as a highly-functioning, well-oiled machine.

Nancy Lieberman, Basketball Hall of Famer and Olympian, WNBA Coach and General Manager, Author, ESPN/Fox Sports Broadcaster

2019081116121020180611161434Nancy-Lieberman-cropped.png (18 KB)Nancy Lieberman’s career in basketball started on the local neighborhood courts in Queens, New York. From high school basketball to the US Olympic team, Lieberman’s career took off. She won our country three Olympic medals, one of which made her the youngest basketball player in Olympic history at just 18 years old. From there, she was a highly in-demand coach, working with college to Women’s National Basketball Association teams and helping them achieve victory after victory, and later went on to serve as an analyst for top sports broadcasting stations. She also started the Nancy Lieberman Foundation where she works with youths to encourage bright futures through sports.

Her keynote speaking can educate and entertain audiences while motivating them in the areas of leadership, teamwork, self-image, business, and even parenting.

Walter Bond, Authority on Peak Performance, Former NBA Star

20220911211450Headshot2-2022-11-09T151437-335.png (17 KB)Walter Bond’s story is not one of linear success. For many people in his shoes, the beginning may have been the end. Although he sat on the bench for most of his college basketball career as a reserve player for the University of Minnesota, he was able, through hard work and dedication, to transform the trajectory of his time on the court and ended up with an eight-year career as shooting guard for Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and Detroit Pistons.

He has captured his insights in numerous books, the most recent being Swim! in which he breaks down a shark mindset. His keynote speaking is heavily influenced by his writing and the lessons he garnered from his long career in basketball.

Vera Jones, Syracuse University Hall-of-Fame Scholar-Athlete, Women’s Basketball Analyst and Reporter, Certified Trainer in Workplace Conflict Resolution

2021309154144Headshot2-19-.png (14 KB)While Vera Jones has had an illustrious career in women’s basketball, she has also taken on her personal passion for communication and coaching and transformed it into training and guidance to help organizations better themselves and deal with conflict. She melds the psychology behind sports with her MTI certification in Conflict Dynamics and Workplace Conflict Resolution to bring companies together in meaningful ways that create change.

Her keynote speaking encompasses everything from her personal journey through motherhood with a son with disabilities to defying gender norms to building leadership in the face of conflict.

Bring one of our Basketball Keynote Speakers to your next event to learn about teamwork, leadership, and giving back from an expert on and off the court.
