Bringing Fun to Your Virtual Event

While nothing can replace the dynamics of live meetings and face-to-face interaction, you can still bring some fun and unique energy to your next virtual event. Here are a few tips and tricks we’ve seen and experienced over the past few months that are having great success!

1. Have a surprise guest! There’s nothing more exciting than having a surprise host pop into your online meeting. Many familiar faces and keynote speakers are notorious for “popping in” to Zoom calls, including Peyton Manning and Magic Johnson to name a few. It breaks up the “Zoom fatigue”, brings everyone’s attention back into focus, and gets them excited to hear more.
2. Incorporate Fun Music & Cool Graphics! We recently participated in a virtual fundraiser that replaced an annual gala event. During the virtual Gala (which we enjoyed on the couch at home), a well-known local DJ hosted a virtual dance party playing all the funky grooves that will inspire anyone to hit the dance floor! What normally would have been an adult night out raising money for a good cause turned into a full-on family dance party in our living room (and still raised a tremendous amount of money for a worthy organization).
3. Virtual Teambuilding! Get your team working together with fun, interactive games and activities such as a Virtual Scavenger Hunt or Pub Trivia, provided by our friends at WCF Events, or wind down at the end of the day with an online bartender or cooking demo (bonus points if you send a gift package with ingredients to your attendees ahead of time!)
