Al Unser Jr

Al Unser Jr. is a member of racing’s fastest family. His father, Al, is a two-time PPG Cup champion and four-time Indianapolis 500 winner. His Uncle, Bobby is a three-time Indy winner and two-time PPG Cup runner up. In his 1994 debut season with Team Penske, Al Jr. stunned the racing world with 8 victories out of 16 races including the Indianapolis 500, cornering the 1994 PPG national Indy Car champion title and ABC Wide World of Sports Athlete of the Year honor.In 1995, Al earned four victories out of 17 races (7 podium finishes overall), coming in second in the overall national points standing.  Clearly, Al Jr. achieves in a single season what many drivers dream of achieving across an entire career. He fully believes that success comes from hard work, and hard work alone.Known in the racing world as Little Al in deference to the career achievements of his legendary father, racing began for him at a very early age. Starting with go carts and quickly progressing to Sprint cars, Super Vee and Can Am, it was clear Little Al had set lofty goals which he was determined to attain. He embodies Indy Car racing’s super competitive spirit. A perfectionist by nature, Al Jr. is never satisfied with being second. And, that’s reason enough to believe his accomplishments are far from over. Al is experienced in product endorsement and public relations and he lends tremendous credibility as a spokesperson. He is very poised and extremely comfortable meeting people and addressing groups. His down-to-earth style makes him especially likeable, approachable and believable. Al, Jr.’s corporate affiliations have included Coca-Cola, Dominos, Goodyear, Kraft-Oscar Mayer, Mobil and Toshiba.
