Patty Malcolm Speaker Biography

Patty Malcolm is the author of Bougie by Nature, Powerful by Choice and the creator of the signature talk and experiential workshop Be Bougie: The Art of Becoming Her. She is a speaker whose work blends storytelling, manifestation, identity, and self-worth into a grounded, transformational experience designed to reconnect women to who they are and what they are capable of becoming.

With a career spanning over two decades in television and film, Patty is an actress who has appeared on Gilmore Girls, Criminal Minds, The Newsroom, and Butterfly. She also built a 20-year career behind the scenes as a stand-in and photo double for 38 leading actresses on major productions. While outwardly successful, Patty ultimately confronted a defining realization: being close to the dream is not the same as living it.

That insight became the catalyst for her work today.

In addition to her work as an author and speaker, Patty is a certified plant-based chef and content creator who has followed a plant-based lifestyle for over four decades. She shares recipes and wellness content through her website and YouTube channel, ChickfoodTV, offering a long-term, sustainable perspective on intentional living.

Patty’s approach to manifestation emphasizes alignment, embodiment, and self-trust rather than hustle or force. Her teachings are informed by years of study in meditation, scripting, and identity-based mindset, with influences including Neville Goddard, Florence Scovel Shinn, and Wallace D. Wattles. She teaches that manifestation is not about perfection or effort, but about remembering who you are and allowing life to respond.

Through her speaking, Patty creates spaces where audiences feel seen, grounded, and empowered to reclaim desires they may have set aside due to practicality, timing, or self-doubt. She reframes “bougie” not as a lifestyle or price tag, but as an identity—one rooted in worth, confidence, and conscious creation.
Patty speaks at women’s retreats, wellness events, leadership gatherings, and conferences, where she combines honest storytelling with guided meditation and journaling experiences that leave audiences inspired, activated, and equipped to move forward with clarity.

“Patty’s message was a powerful reminder that manifestation isn’t about attempting or wishing—it’s about actively living from your goals and allowing them to unfold. Her work shifted my perspective from ‘trying’ to manifest to truly being in the process of creating my life. Even without having met her or heard her speak, I could hear her voice clearly through her words. Her conversational, authentic style makes the message land in a deeply personal way. What Patty is sharing with the world is important, timely, and empowering. Congratulations on stepping into your work—and doing it so bougie.”

Liz Brunner, Author

“Reading Patty’s book felt like a loving lunch conversation with a dear friend—honest, encouraging, and exactly the nudge I needed. Her vulnerability and storytelling landed deeply, even though I was already familiar with the principles she shares. Her words felt fresh, powerful, and immediately actionable. I found myself putting her practices into use right away and returning to the book throughout the day. Patty’s work is inspiring, grounding, and meaningful, and I know it will stay with me for a long time. I’m grateful she shared her story with the world.”
