Jessie Diggins Speaker Biography
After moonlighting as a dancer, soccer player, violinist, and high-school swimmer and track runner, Jessie finally settled on cross country skiing as a full-time passion. She joined the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team in 2011, and won her first Olympic medal in 2018. Jessie was born and raised in Minnesota, and currently splits her time between Boston and Stratton, VT. She puts sparkles on her cheeks before every race as a personal reminder that she races because she loves the sport, and because she finds joy in pushing herself to new limits!
Jessie is known for her uncanny ability to go deep into the ‘Pain Cave’ as she calls it – which she clearly demonstrated to seal the deal for her new gold medal. She talks about Flow State (being in ‘the zone’) and how to create it in business and life in general. Despite her incredible individual effort, she speaks passionately, in fact most passionately, about teamwork and how to identify and focus individual strengths for the greater good of the team. Following a 12-year recovery from an eating disorder, she also prioritizes mental wellness, sleep, and fueling to support her longevity in the sport.
