Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts is one of the most successful managers in baseball today. He led the Los Angeles Dodgers to the World Series in 2017 and 2018.

In Roberts first season, the Dodgers advanced to the National League Championship Series and he was named NL Manager of the Year. Prior to jumping into a managerial role, Roberts served as a coach of the San Diego Padres. He had built-in respect when he entered the coaching ranks due to his ten-year major league playing career.

Roberts spent time with the Cleveland Indians (1999-2001), Los Angeles Dodgers (2002-2004), Boston Red Sox (2004), San Diego Padres (2005-2006), and San Francisco Giants (2007-2008). He is best known for his stolen base in the 9th inning of Game 4 of the 2004 American League Championship Series, which was such a notable play that it is often simply referred to as “The Steal.”
