Team Chemistry: School yourself in the elements of collaboration
What was elementary school like when you were growing up? What do you remember about your teachers and classmates? What items filled up your bookbag or lunchbox?
National speaker and author Jessica Stollings draws on your fondest memories of elementary school via Team Chemistry, a game which empowers you to accomplish more together through fun, interactive puzzles and activities all housed in retro Trapper Keepers.
Set in a 1990s classroom, the game turns players into students as they use calculators, crayons and rules in teams of 6-8, and with the larger class, to finish all the lessons in hopes of winning a pack of fruit stripe gum!
Rooted in adult-learning theory, and inclusive of all learning styles, the nostalgia-fueled game drives personal and workforce-strengthening outcomes that include how to:
• Draw on commonalities to connect diverse teams.
• Tap into the power of play to boost engagement, learning retention, well-being, and joy!
• Break down silos and ensure a common goal across the organization.
• Create strengths-based teams that empower all people to thrive.
• Reflect on experiences, create strategies to improve, and teach others what you learn.
• Come school yourself. Because adults need playtime, too!
