Jimmer Fredette became a national sensation while playing college basketball at Brigham Young University. Fredette averaged 22.1 points per game as a junior and led the nation with 28.9 points per game during his senior season in 2010-11. That season he broke 12 BYU scoring records and six Mid West Conference scoring records in route to earning National Player of the Year honors from the Associated Press, Basketball Times, NABC, SI.com, and Sporting News.
He also earned consensus First-Team All-American and MWC Player of the Year honors while also earning the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. After being selected with the 10th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2011 NBA Draft he earned the prestigious Male Athlete of Year Award at the 2011 ESPY Awards. Fredette played his first three seasons with the Kings, then spent time with the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks. He had his share of banner moments, including being named a D-League All-Star while with the Knicks organization in 2016
