1. 2020 will be the year of the political speaker, as many clients will be paying close attention to the presidential race. Additionally, you can expect to see increased requests for economists and cybersecurity keynote speakers, as well as global experts.
2. Many clients are looking for speakers who can speak on multiple topics, so we are getting requests for dual topics (i.e. leadership and managing change; future of work and technology, etc.)
3. Clients want an experience. Keynote speakers should be prepared to really get to know their audience before, during, and after the event.
4. Bureaus are continuing to have a larger percentage of bookings for speakers at events because they want the bureau involvement for logistics, management, and planning.
5. Speaker fees are increasing. It's getting harder and harder to find speakers in a lower price range, so clients should really evaluate their budgets.
6. Diverse lineup continues to be a top trend. Clients want their speaker lineup to match their audience demographic.
