Party Crash: How to Ignore Life’s Invite Only Signs

Party Crash Definition:
A metaphor and philosophy for finding a way into the spaces in your career and life that you feel you belong in but have not been invited to and probably never will.

How do we help our team members find their paths? How do we find our own paths? Are we even on the right path? Are we fulfilling our potential? Is there more to us that we are yet to discover? Some hidden talent?
In this keynote presentation, Al shares hilarious stories from his lifelong journey trying to figure what he’s meant to be in life. Through finding his way into jobs in professional soccer, Mandarin interpreting, kindergarten teaching, managing at fortune 500 companies, and even exotic dancing he learned the value of party crashing and found his true path as an inspirational keynote speaker.
Al teaches your audience how they too can harness the power of this party crashing philosophy to accelerate their own career paths, take on bigger challenges, and become inspiring leaders that don’t just buy into your organization’s vision, but help form it!

This presentation is designed as an interactive keynote aimed at sharing some of the flaws in interpersonal communications and what techniques can be utilized to improve people’s relationships in the workplace. To set the context for audience interaction, Allan shares his personal struggles leading teams over his 25-year career through a hilarious, self-deprecating story he calls “Sisyphus Relationships”. This story explores the positive impact that contemporary “Interpersonal Communication Tools” can have on communication and relationships in the workplace. Safety’s Next Top Model: Human and Organizational Performance
For so long we have debated the best way to bring safety to our organizations. Well, this debate may not be over, but we are going to examine some different safety models and vote on which one we like best. In this fun, interactive session Allan discusses the pros and cons of previous safety models to the Human and Organizational Performance Model (HOP) or as it is often referred to as “Safety Differently” or the “New View of Safety”. This revolutionary HOP model developed by Sidney Dekker and James Reason focuses on the human element of safety assuming that human error is inevitable so therefore organizations should focus more on improving their systems, processes, planning, and operations to improve safety performance and culture.
