Dan Abrams Speaker Biography
Dan Abrams is a T.V. personality, web entrepreneur, and best-selling author. He is currently a Co-anchor for Nightline, the Legal Analyst for ABC News, a substitute anchor for Good Morning America and the host of Discovery ID’s Chasing Justice with Dan Abrams. Dan is also the founder and publisher of eight web properties: Mediaite, a news and media website; Geekosystem, covering tech and geek culture; Styleite, on beauty and fashion; Sportsgrid, which covers sports off the field; Gossip Cop, monitoring false reports in the celebrity gossip industry; The Mary Sue, for female “geeks;” The Jane Dough, a site devoted to women in business and politics; and The Braiser, the frst site devoted to celebrity chefs. Together, the Abrams Media Network serves close to 14 million unique visitors per month.
Abrams Media has a social media arm called Abrams Research, a firm dedicated to helping businesses and high profile individuals develop social media strategies, improve businesses’ relationships with their consumers, and drive traffic to their web properties.
Prior to 2010, Dan Abrams was at NBC for 15 years as, among other things, a reporter for NBC Nightly News, host of numerous shows on MSNBC, and Chief Legal Correspondent for NBC News. From 2006 to late 2007, Dan served as the top executive at MSNBC, where as General Manager, he presided over a period of unprecedented growth, with ratings and profits each increasing well over 50% during his tenure. During that time Dan was also a member of the NBC Universal President’s Council.
