Jennifer Willey Speaker Biography

Jennifer Willey helps unlock fearlessness to accelerate innovation, inclusivity, and growth. She shifts mindsets and behaviors through inspirational stories of her unique career journey, coupled with insights from proprietary research, conducted with behavioral scientists from Wharton. Jenn is the Founder of Wet Cement and is proud to be one of only 50 U.S. CEOs leading a Disability-Owned and Woman-Owned certified business.

Jenn shares her mistakes, challenges and lessons learned to both entertain and provide actionable strategies for her audiences. Her career started at the age of eight as a child actor. She became certified as one of the nation's youngest Fitness Professionals, graduated to TV news anchor by 21, and then spent the next two decades leading sales, strategy, and marketing at innovative tech and media companies. Now as an entrepreneur, she's built a new kind of mission-driven business empowering others to achieve their potential by developing the 'Fearless Fundamentals'—Courage, Confidence, Communication, Control, and Connections.

Her wealth of experience on-air, on stage, and in the corporate world as a C-Suite executive ensures she will own the room with a humor-filled keynote that delivers actionable "ah-ha" moments her audience will be anxious to apply. As a certified Virtual Presenter, she leverages cutting-edge interactive tools to motivate, engage and educate. In addition, her online distance learning program for women, Career Excel, is currently helping women advance their careers across six countries.

Fueled by purpose and her own professional experience, Jennifer is committed to advancing inclusivity and gender equity. She created Wet Cement's gender equality practice, Advance Women at Work™, to help design and deploy empowerment programs for women and 'modern leadership' training for male executives in the U.S., UK and Japan. Jennifer is the first-ever Innovation and Inclusivity Advisor to Comexposium Japan and is the Gender Equality Advisor and Subject-Matter Expert for the Digital Place-Based Ad Association (DPAA) and co-creator of its Women's Leadership Initiative, WE.DOOH. Her volunteer efforts are aligned to this mission—she contributes 1% of Wet Cement's profits and 1%+ of company time to supporting the non-profit WorkingforWomen.org.

Wet Cement is proud to be certified as a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE), Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB). Jennifer is currently a member of the National Speakers Association, New York and National Chapters, and the Diversity Alliance for Science. Jennifer has a B.S. in Communications from Cornell University, and she recently earned her Diversity & Inclusion Certification from eCornell. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and is the proud mom of two sons.

With the rate of change accelerating each year, companies that will survive and thrive embrace change and diversity--but many don't know how to make this vision a reality. This informative keynote addresses the latest research and input from Diversity and Inclusion Educators and business leaders across industries. Attendees will learn how to build a foundation of trust where everyone has a voice, sharing key strategies across:

- Empowering Behaviors: replacing microaggressions with microaffirmations, recognizing and navigating the "double bind," counteracting unconscious bias;

- Cultivating Culture: creating social connections, democratizing advancement and appointing Cultural Ambassadors to engage employees;

- Accelerating Innovation: Developing methods to help your team own its voice and contribute creative ideas.

This keynote empowers the women (and men!) in your organization to become more effective leaders and create a collaborative culture. This presentation focuses on five key pillars--Confidence, Communication, Control, Connections, and Courage--while combining research and insights across assertive language, personal development, and business networking.

This program is perfect for:
- Male managers and executives struggling to navigate the sensitive #MeToo world
- Corporate leaders committed to building inclusive, collaborative cultures

The audience will leave with:
- Insights into the top factors holding women back from achieving their potential and how they can best overcome them

In today's #metoo world, male leaders are struggling to navigate sensitive topics as they build collaborative cultures that drive innovation, loyalty, and the bottom line. In this humorous and insightful keynote, Jenn provides 'the good guys' with an insider's look at the top growth barriers for women, the science behind it, and what they can, and should do, to achieve Gender Equity. Jenn helps the men in your organization tackle tough topics like Impostor Syndrome, meeting interruptions, and assertive communications. Your team will walk away with new ways to help the women on their team be more effective while creating an inclusive culture of collaboration that accelerates business results.

This program is perfect for:

- Real-life examples and the latest research on how world-class leaders and companies are driving innovation
- Strategies on how to leverage strategic alliances and relationships to advance their mission

In our age of transformation and disruption, leading with purpose and meaning is critical to thrive. Younger generations of employees demand meaning in their work and need to see alignment between their role and a larger mission. Research shows workers expect more than cash to remain loyal and energetic-they seek inspiration, flexible incentives and inclusive cultures. This keynote is relevant for every modern leader, whether your purpose is to break through that glass ceiling to effect meaningful change, build your own business, or align your current company to purpose--you will walk away with new insights, skills and methods to make you more successful starting the very next day.

This program is perfect for:
- Professionals who need extra momentum to get "unstuck" and achieve their goals
- Mid-level managers and senior team leaders with direct reports who lack confidence

The audience will leave with:

- An understanding of how pervasive Impostor Syndrome is and why it matters
- The ability to identify the five Impostor Syndrome types
- Strategies for managing their own mindset and behaviors
- Methods for managing team members with low self-confidence or Impostor Syndrome

Have you ever thought of yourself as a fraud or a fake... waiting for others to 'find out' that you aren't really as smart or talented as everyone thinks? If you haven't felt this way, many folks on your team probably have. "Impostor Syndrome" affects the majority of women at work-but men are not immune either. In a 2018 study, two-thirds of women suffered from feelings of Impostor Syndrome (along with almost half of men surveyed). It can hold you back from achieving your potential and wreak havoc on your team dynamic and business.

A lack of confidence and self-worth is a major barrier to professional growth. Those touched by the impostor wand shy away from promotions, delay taking action, burn themselves out and more. That's why this insightful keynote provides valuable methods for building confidence and managing Impostor Syndrome--whether it's for yourself or your team.
