Rod Woodson’s Speaker Biography

From winning the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens to spending a decade on the Pittsburgh Steelers defense to analyzing plays for the NFL Network to mentoring the next generation as a cornerbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders, Rod Woodson has certainly accomplished a great deal within the National Football League. 

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, early Rod Woodson appearances on the football field proved so successful that he earned a full scholarship to play football at Purdue University. While playing with the Purdue University Boilermakers, Rod Woodson appearances as the team’s defensive back involved being named All American twice while also competing at the highest levels on the college’s track and field team. After graduating with a degree in criminal justice from Purdue University, Rod Woodson appearances were selected tenth overall in the first round of the 1987 National Football League Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rod Woodson appearances remained a crucial component of the Pittsburgh Steelers defense until 1996, at which time he was traded first to the San Francisco 49ers before moving to the Baltimore Ravens, where he helped lead the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl Championship. He finished up his career with the Oakland Raiders before retiring in 2003.
